In Jainism there is no single, universal “Jain gotra chart” that applies to all Jains.

1. Scriptures vs. social custom

- Jain Āgams and śāstras do not give any fixed list or chart of gotras for laypeople. - Gotra charts you see are mostly community / caste records (Oswal, Porwal, etc.), not core Jain Dharma.

1. 84 gotra (chourāsī gotra)

- In many Śvetāmbara business communities (Oswal, Porwal, etc.) people talk about “84 gotra”. - Each community may keep its own chart or list for marriage and genealogy. - These are social lineages, not measuring spirituality. Your Jain progress depends on samyak darshan–gyān–chāritra, not on gotra.

1. Different community, different chart

- Oswal, Porwal, Kutchhi, etc. can all have different sets and names. - Digambar Jains often do not actively use gotra at all; they go more by surname, region, and sampradāy.

1. If you want your own “gotra chart”

- Ask family elders (dādā-dādī, nānā-nānī, etc.). - Check old lagna‑patrikā, community vahi / registers, or temple records. - Contact your local Jain sangh; they often have the community‑specific chart.
