Jirawala PARSHWANATH jain temple
Shri Jirawala Parshwanath Jain Temple is a very famous Śvetāmbara Jain tirth in Rajasthan, specially revered as a siddhakshetra-like place for wish‑fulfilment and bhakti to Bhagwan Parshwanath.
1. Location & Sect
- Situated at the foothills of Jairaj (Jayraj) hill in village Jirawala,
- It is a Śvetāmbara Murtipujak Jain tirth.
2. Main Idol (Mūlnāyak)
- Mūlnāyak: Shri Jirawala Parshwanath Bhagwan.
- Small, 18 cm (approx.) idol of Parshwanath in padmāsan posture.
- Very famous for its chamatkār (miraculous spiritual glory); many devotees feel their bhavānuśandhān and faith becomes very strong here.
3. Main Legend A famous Jain kathā says:
- Seth Amarasha (Amrasa) of Kodinagar and Āchārya Devsurishvarji both saw a dream that an idol of Parshwanath lies near the foot of Jairaj hill.
- They did excavation at that spot and found the 18 cm idol of Bhagwan Parshwanath in padmāsan.
- Under the guidance of Āchārya Devsurishvarji, a beautiful temple was built and the idol was installed (pratiṣṭhā) in ancient times (about 331 Vikram Samvat as per traditional accounts). ( jainknowledge.com)
Because of this divine discovery, Jirawala became a very important Jain centre.
4. Temple & Architecture
- Grand main temple with beautiful carvings on pillars and walls.
- Around the main shrine there are 108 idols of Parshwanath, each with a different name and special significance.

- Large dharamshala near the temple for stay.
- Bhojanalaya (Jain food, sāttvik, without night‑eating) usually available for yatris.
