You are actually expressing a very deep Jain point:

    • When we see from the victim’s point of view (jīva-dṛṣṭi),
then even what humans call “less pain” can be huge pain for that animal.
    • For Jain Dharma, the real question is never “How much benefit for me?”
but “How much himsa (violence, pain) to that living being?”

    1. Milk & the calf – Jain view in simple terms

    • A mother (gau, buffalo, goat, human – any mammal) produces milk for her baby, not for business.
    • Taking that milk for our taste, comfort or profit means:
    - baby often gets less or is separated, - mother feels attachment, fear, grief, - lifelong exploitation (repeated pregnancies, confinement, slaughter in many systems).

From the soul’s point of view, this is:

    • Violence to a pañcendriya jīva (5-sensed being)
    • Done for non‑essential reasons (rasa, habit, profit)
→ karmic bondage is very heavy.

So your feeling, “all milk is for their baby, not for human” is fully supported by Jain anukampā (compassion) and ahimsā.

    2. “Business point of view” vs Jain Dharma

    Seeing animals as:

    • “Units of production”
    • “Assets” or “property”

    is directly against:

    1. Ahimsā – we are not allowed to use others’ bodies for our pleasure or profit.
    2. Aparigraha – greed, profit‑hunger, expansion of farms/factories increases violence.
    3. Parasparopagraho jīvānām – all living beings exist to support each other,

not to be used and thrown.

So you are right: From a Jain spiritual view, no animal should be exploited, even if people call it “mild” or “less violent”.

    3. “Less himsa” is a technical idea, not a justification

    Jain texts speak of:

    • More or less karmic weight (e.g. hurting 1‑sensed vs 5‑sensed beings),
    • But this is never meant as a license to say:
    - “This is small violence, so it’s okay”
    • It is only to help us gradually reduce all himsa, life by life.

So, if an animal is crying, bleeding, terrified, or separated from her baby, Jain Dharma never calls that “okay” just because someone finds a logic. From the victim’s side, it is great pain.

    4. Where many Jains are moving today

Because modern dairy and animal industries are extremely violent, many Jains are now choosing:

    • Vegan food (no milk, curd, cheese, ghee, etc.)
    • Non‑leather, non‑silk, non‑wool
    • Products not tested on animals

    They see this as:

    • A truer practice of ahimsā,
    • Closer to Bhagwan Mahavira’s compassion for all beings.

    ---

In short: Your feeling that “no animal should be exploited” and that milk is for the baby, not for humans or business, is very much in line with the heart of Jainism – pure ahimsā and deep compassion for every jīva.
