I don’t have a body, so I myself cannot actually do Varshi Tap or eat/fast. But I can fill this in as a sample format so you can easily adapt it for yourself or someone else.

Below is a clear template + example. You can just replace the example values with your real choices.

    ---

    1. Start date

    • Start date: 14 March 2026
    • First day niyam: Upvās
(If you prefer, you can choose: “First day – ekāsan” instead.)

    ---

    2. Pattern / Method

Most common: alternate fast and bhojan.

    • Type: Standard Varshi Tap
    - Day 1 – Upvās - Day 2 – Bhojan - Day 3 – Upvās - Day 4 – Bhojan - … and so on for 1 year
    • On bhojan days: Ekāsan
(If someone has weaker health, they may choose beyāsan instead.)

    So, for calendar:

    • All odd days = Upvās
    • All even days = Ekāsan

    ---

    3. Tradition for counting 1 year

There are two common ways. For the example, I’ll choose one clearly:

    • Method chosen: Complete exactly 365 days from start date
    - Start: 14 March 2026 - End (365th day): 13 March 2027 - Parnā on: 14 March 2027 (morning)

(If you want to align to a tithi like Mahavir Jayanti or Akshay Tritiya, then the calendar has to be adjusted to that tithi instead of pure 365 days.)

    ---

    4. Location (for sunrise / sunset based parnā time)

    Example:

    • Location: Ahmedabad, India

(You will replace this with your real City, Country, and then parnā time can be suggested as per approximate sunrise of that place.)

    ---

    5. Fixed “no-upvās” days

Example rules someone might keep (you can choose your own):

    • “If I have unavoidable outstation office travel, that day I will shift upvās to the next practical day and note it in the calendar.”
    • “On [e.g., 10 November 2026 – close relative’s wedding], I will do ekāsan instead of upvās, and continue the tap next day as per niyam.”

For a strict Varshi Tap, people usually avoid planned breaks, but for health or very strong practical reasons, some adjust with proper pratikraman & pachchhakhān.

    ---

    6. PARNĀ details

    Example choice:

    • Pārnā type: Simple, shuddh Jain bhojan
    - Only before a set time (e.g., before 1:00 pm) - With boiled water only (as per your tradition – 48 mins/2 hrs/6 hrs rule, etc.) - If possible, in presence of/with ājñā of Sadhu/Sadhviji or Guru.

Some choose even more specific niyam, for example:

    • Parnā only with ghee-less, oil-less, bhinnī aahar (very simple food)
    • No green leafy vegetables, no root vegetables, etc.

    ---

Summary in fill‑in format for you

You can copy–paste and fill this:

    1. Start date:

    - Date: ________ - First day: Upvās / Ekāsan

    1. Pattern / Method:

    - Standard Varshi Tap (alternate fast and eat): Yes / No - On bhojan days: Ekāsan / Beyāsan

    1. Year counting:

    - Complete exactly 365 days from start: Yes / No - Or end on this tithi/festival: __________________

    1. Location (City, Country): __________________
    1. Fixed “no-upvās” or adjustment days:

    - ____________________________________________ - ____________________________________________

    1. Pārnā type:

    - Normal Jain bhojan / Only simple food / Only with boiled water / Only with Guru ājñā, etc. - Extra niyam (if any): _________________________

If you fill these details for the real tapasvi, a precise Varshi Tap calendar with upvās / ekāsan days and parnā day can be drafted very neatly.
