I want to speak marwadi fluently

    5 months ago 94

To speak Marwadi fluently, focus on 4 things: listening, speaking, words, and people.

    1. Start with basic daily sentences

Learn and use simple lines like: - Khamma ghani / Ram Ram – respectful greeting - Tharo naam su hai? – What is your name? - Mharo naam ___ hai. – My name is ___. - Tho kyun cho? – How are you? - Hun majama cho. – I am fine.

Make a small notebook or phone note with such 30–40 daily sentences and read/speak them every day.

    1. Listen to Marwadi daily

    - Listen to Marwadi songs, stories, or comedy videos. - Even if you don’t understand everything, your ears will get used to the sound and style. - Try to repeat some lines as they speak.

    1. Speak from day one (don’t wait to be “perfect”)

    - If you have family members or friends who know Marwadi, tell them: “Please talk to me only in Marwadi and correct my mistakes.” - Mix Marwadi + Hindi/English in the beginning. Example: “Aaj mhane market jana hai” (even if it’s half-correct, still speak). - Don’t feel shy; fluency comes only by speaking, not just by studying.

    1. Learn common words first

Focus on: - Relations: baap, maa, bhai, bahan, kaka, kaki, dada, dadi, nana, nani - Daily things: paani, roti, kapda, ghar, bazaar, gaadi, paisa - Actions: khana, peena, jana, aana, dekhna, sunna, bolna, sojana

Make word lists: 10 new words per day → revise them next day.

    1. Copy the style and tone

Marwadi has a special sweet tone. - Listen and try to copy the way they stretch words, e.g. “Kaa kar rahe ho?” → “Kaa kar ro ho?” - Don’t worry if your accent is not perfect in the beginning.

    1. Set a small routine (30–40 minutes daily)

    - 10 min: revise words + sentences - 10–15 min: listen (song/story/video) - 10–15 min: speak with someone or speak to yourself in Marwadi (describe your day, your room, your plan).

    1. If you want, I can help you practice here

    - I can give you: - Basic Marwadi phrases with Hindi/English meaning - Small dialogues for practice - Simple exercises (you translate, I correct)

Reply with your main language (Hindi/English/other) and I can start teaching you Marwadi step by step with easy examples.
