Is it paakhi on 2nd April
“Pakkhi / Paakhi” in Jain tradition is based on the Jain lunar tithi (date), not the English date. So whether 2nd April is Paakhi or not depends on:
- Which year you mean (e.g. 2025, 2026, etc.)
- Your location/time zone (India / abroad)
- The Jain panchang (calendar) followed by your sangh
Because of this, I cannot reliably say just from “2nd April” whether it is Paakhi.
To know correctly, you should:
- Check your sangh’s Jain panchang / pocket calendar for that year
- Or ask your local Pathshala / Upadhyay / Panchang based app which shows tithi and Paakhi days
This is important so that vrat, pooja, and paath are done on the correct tithi.
