what typ of punya will we get by going to jain temple everyday

    5 months ago 112

By going to a Jain temple (derasar) every day with shraddha and samveg, you mainly get puṇya of bhakti and darshan. In simple words:

    1. Darshan‑puṇya (seeing the Lord)

    - Just peaceful, respectful darshan of Jina idol creates a very strong shubha (auspicious) karma. - Result: future birth in good Jain family, opportunity for satsang, good health, good mind, and protection from many difficulties.

    1. Chaitya‑bhakti / Dev‑puja puṇya

    - Bowing down (namaskar), doing puja, aarti, chaityavandan etc. gives bhakti‑puṇya (devotion‑merit). - Result: comfort, respect, prosperity, helpful people around you, and again and again chance to come near temples and saints.

    1. Satsang‑puṇya (company of dharma)

    - In temple you hear stotra, sutra, pravachan, meet other shravaks and sometimes sadhus/sadhvijis. - This creates knowledge‑puṇya – in future lives you get sharp memory, interest in dharma, and chances to study Jain scriptures.

    1. Shubha‑bhav / shubha‑leshyā

    - Daily temple visit calms anger, greed, jealousy etc. - This pure state of mind itself is puṇya and destroys many paap karmas in mild form.

    1. Dravya‑puṇya & Bhāva‑puṇya

    - Dravya‑puṇya: offering flowers, dhoop, deep, donation for temple, helping in cleaning, managing. - Bhāva‑puṇya: inner feelings – humility, gratitude to Tirthankars, desire for samyak darshan and moksha. - Out of these two, bhāva‑puṇya is much higher. Even a small act with pure bhav gives huge puṇya.

    1. Special puṇya for regularity

    - Going occasionally gives puṇya, - Going every day creates a strong habit (sanskar) and steady stream of puṇya leading you again and again towards dharma and finally towards liberation.

    One important point:

    • If someone goes to temple only for show‑off, gossip, or worldly business, the puṇya becomes very little.
    • If one goes with vinay (respect), shuddha bhav (pure feeling) and dharma‑chintan, then the same visit becomes very powerful puṇya and also slowly prepares the soul for moksha‑marg.
