what type of punya will we get by going to Jain temple everyday
Going to the Jain temple every day is a very good punya‑karma if done with shraddha (faith) and vinay (respect). In Jain dharma, the type of punya is understood mainly from the results it gives.
By going to the temple daily, you generally bind punya that gives:
- Good future birth (uttam gati)
- Birth as a human with good surroundings - Chance of getting Jain family and satsang again - Sometimes birth in higher (deva) existences
- Satsang and dharm‑labh punya
- Repeated opportunity to: - listen to Jain teachings - meet sadhus–sadhvijis / scholars - do swadhyaya, pratikraman, etc. - This is called dharma-upakaraka punya (punya that helps your spiritual progress).
- Sharir and sukh punya (body and comfort)
- Healthy body, good senses, ability to sit, read, listen, do pooja - Basic comforts, money, and time so that you can go to the temple regularly
- Sambandh and samaj punya
- Good family and society: - supportive relatives for dharma - good Jain friends and sangh around you - Respect in society due to dharmic life
- Bhakti and vinay punya
- By: - doing darshan of idols with devotion - bowing (namaskar) with real humility - cleaning, decorating, helping in temple work - You bind punya of bhakti (devotion) and vinay (humility), which reduces ego and softens passions.
- Antaric shanti (inner peace) punya
- Mind becomes calmer - Anger, pride, deceit, and greed slowly reduce - This creates inner purity and binds shubha (auspicious) state of mind, which is also punya.
