Mahavira’s birthday is commonly called Mahavir Jayanti.

In Jain tradition, the more proper Jain term is “Mahavir Janma Kalyanak” (or Mahavir Janmakalyanak), which means the auspicious birth event of Bhagwan Mahavir. Both names refer to the same festival.
