So forceful conversation is happening what to do ?
In Jain Dharma, the best response to a forceful or harsh conversation is to stay शांत, संयमी, and अहिंसक in speech and mind.
What you can do:
- Do not जवाब in anger. Anger creates himsa in thought, speech, and action.
- Speak softly and briefly. Use true, beneficial, and calm words.
- Remain silent if needed. Maun is often better than harmful speech.
- Withdraw respectfully. If the conversation is becoming aggressive, leave the place quietly.
- Protect your inner peace. Keep equanimity and avoid retaliation.
- Practice क्षमा. Forgive internally, even if the other person is wrong.
- Reflect before speaking. Jain teaching values control over speech as part of self-discipline.
A simple Jain approach is:
“I will not speak harshly, I will not return anger with anger, and I will preserve ahimsa.”
If the situation feels unsafe, step away calmly and seek a peaceful resolution later.
