Can I meet my mother in heaven even after she dies in digamber jain as a female layperson
From the Digambar Jain point of view, you may be born in a heavenly realm because of punya, but there is no certainty that you will meet your mother there as the same worldly mother and daughter relationship.
In Jainism:
- The soul continues after death based on its karma.
- Heaven (devaloka) is temporary; it is not the final goal.
- Family bonds in this world are karmic and temporary, so they do not continue in the same worldly form in heaven.
- If both souls have very similar punya, they may be born in a similar heavenly realm, but this cannot be guaranteed.
For a Jain layperson, the most important aim is not reunion in heaven, but to:
- live with ahimsa, satya, aparigraha
- do dharma and punya
- and ultimately move toward moksha
So the honest answer is: it is possible that both souls may reach a heavenly birth, but you should not expect a guaranteed meeting with your mother there in the same relationship.
