Should a person take diksha again under a new guru. As the old guru has banned her just because they made her leave cuz they couldn’t give her emotional support. Which was basic humanity
In Jain Dharma, diksha is not a casual decision. It is a sacred step that should be taken with vairagya, humility, discipline, and proper guidance.
If a guru has formally rejected or banned someone, then one should not act out of anger, hurt, or revenge. The proper Jain way is:
- remain calm and respectful
- seek clarity through senior monks, sadhvis, or an acharya
- avoid blame, harsh speech, and ego
- look for the path that best preserves samyak achar, shraman dignity, and inner purity
If the previous guru relationship has truly ended, then taking diksha again under another qualified guru may be possible in some traditions, but only through proper Jain procedure, not simply on personal emotion. The new guru should be approached with honesty, humility, and full transparency about what happened before.
Also, from a Jain viewpoint, emotional support is part of karuna and dharma, but the disciple must still maintain forbearance, restraint, and respect even in difficult situations. At the same time, a guru should also act with compassion and rightful conduct.
So the Jain answer is:
- Do not decide in anger or wounded pride
- Seek proper guidance from senior Jain authorities
- If the old relationship is broken, a new diksha may be considered only according to tradition and with sincerity
In short: yes, it may be possible, but only through proper Jain process, not as an emotional reaction.
