What is Ananyatva in Samaysar?
Ananyatva in Samaysar means non-difference or non-otherness.
In simple words, it teaches that:
- the pure soul is not something separate from its own true nature,
- the soul and its consciousness/knowing nature are one in essence,
- and from the nishchaya naya (real standpoint), the self is to be understood as the knower and seer, not as body, karma, or external possessions.
In Samaysar’s spirit
Kundakundacharya explains that the soul is not truly divided from its own svabhava. So Ananyatva points to the understanding that:- Atma is not other than Atma’s own pure nature
- karma, body, and worldly states are separate from the real self
- the real self is shuddha chetana — pure consciousness
Short meaning
