According to Jain tradition, Neminath (also known as Arishtanemi) is the 22nd Tirthankara. Jain texts state that he lived in the Dvapara Yuga, long before recorded history, and thus, his exact birth and death years are not specified in historical terms. The Jain scriptures describe his lifespan as 1,000 years.

Traditional accounts say Neminath was born in Sauripura (present-day Saurashtra, Gujarat) to King Samudravijaya and Queen Shivadevi. Since these events are considered to have taken place in a remote era, Jainism does not provide birth and death years in BCE or CE for Tirthankara Neminath.
