Yes. In Jain Dharma, your name itself is not what makes you Jain. Jain identity comes from right belief, right conduct, and following Jain principles like ahimsa, satya, aparigraha, and self-discipline.

So if you were born with a name that is commonly used in Hindu families, you can still remain Jain. Many Jains have names that are also used by Hindus. What matters is your faith and way of life, not the label of your name.

If you want, you may also choose a more traditionally Jain name, but it is not required.
