In Jain गृह-देवस्थान, south-west corner is generally not preferred. The most suitable places are usually north-east, east, or north.

About the idol direction:

• In common Jain home practice, the devotee usually faces east or north while worshipping.
• So the murti is often arranged in a way that allows this.
• Keeping the god facing east is not the usual preferred arrangement in most Jain traditions.

So, if possible, do not place the temple in the south-west. Choose north-east or east/north side instead for a more proper and शांत setup.
