Can paap of pornography can't be reversed
In Jain Dharma, paap is not “irreversible”.
A person can repent, stop the wrong act, and reduce the bondage of karma through:
- Pratikraman and sincere repentance
- Prayashchitta from a qualified Jain guru if needed
- Self-restraint and firm resolve not to repeat the act
- Samayik, Swadhyay, and meditation
- Kshama and inner purification
If someone has engaged in pornography, the correct Jain approach is:
- Recognize it as harmful and unrighteous
- Immediately stop it
- Feel true remorse
- Take a vow of restraint
- Continue purification through dharmik practice
So, in Jain view, paap can be washed down through repentance and right conduct, though the karmic effect depends on the intensity, duration, and intention behind the act.
The important thing is: do not despair. Jain Dharma teaches that with awareness, restraint, and purification, the soul can move toward freedom from karma.
