Why can’t females get Moksha’s
In Jain Dharma, this question has different answers in different traditions.
Digambara view
Traditionally, Digambara Jainism teaches that a woman cannot attain moksha in that same female body. The reason given is not that a female soul is less capable, but that the female body is considered unsuitable for the final stage of complete liberation in that tradition. According to this view, a soul may be born as a woman, practice severe tapas, and then be reborn in a male body before attaining moksha.Shwetambara view
Traditionally, Shwetambara Jainism teaches that females can attain moksha directly. This view holds that the soul has no gender, and liberation depends on right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct, not on being male or female.Common Jain principle
In both traditions, the soul itself is not male or female. Gender belongs to the body, not to the pure soul. The difference is about scriptural interpretation and doctrinal tradition, not about the spiritual worth of women. In short
- Digambara: female body is not the final body for moksha
- Shwetambara: females can attain moksha
- Both: the soul itself is beyond gender
If you want, I can also explain this in simple Hindi or give the scriptural basis from both traditions.
