- Choose a clean, शांत place
Sit where there is less disturbance and full possibility of calmness.
- Keep your body steady
Sit in a comfortable, disciplined posture. Keep the body straight and stable.
- Take the Samayik vow mentally
Decide that for this period you will remain शांत, संयमित, and focused on आत्मा.
- Fold hands respectfully and pray
Offer respect to the Navkar Mantra, Arihants, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyayas, and Sadhus.
- Recite Navkar Mantra
Chant it slowly and with concentration.
- Reflect on forgiveness and purity
Think: - I will avoid हिंसा in thought, speech, and action. - I will stay away from anger, pride, deceit, and greed. - I will remain जागरूक and शांत.
- Practice self-observation
Keep attention on your thoughts, speech, and inner state. If the mind wanders, gently bring it back.
- Read or recite Jain scriptures/prayers
