In Jain Dharma, this comparison is not correct.

A Tirthankar is not measured by one small external act like saving or not saving a fly. A Tirthankar is a Kevali, completely free from inner passions, with perfect ahimsa, jñān, and darshan. Their conduct is on the level of param dharma, not ordinary moral behavior.

A śrāvak follows anuvratas and tries to reduce violence in daily life. That is very good, and carefulness toward even tiny जीव is highly praiseworthy. But a śrāvak is still practicing, while a Tirthankar has already attained the highest state.

    So:

    • Yes, a śrāvak may appear more careful in a particular practical act.
    • No, that does not mean the śrāvak is more moral than a Tirthankar.
    • Moral excellence in Jainism is judged by inner purity, non-attachment, and liberation, not only by one visible action.

A Tirthankar gives the highest ideal of dharma. A śrāvak gives the practical household application of that dharma. Both are valuable, but they are not equal in spiritual level.

If you want, I can explain this difference in simple Jain terms of Tirthankar, Ganadhar, and śrāvak.
