How many times should whole bhaktamar and uvvasagaraham should be recited daily for maximum benefit
In Jain dharma, there is no single universally fixed number for “maximum benefit” of reciting Bhaktāmara Stotra and Uvasaggaharam Stotra. The main principle is bhāva — श्रद्धा, concentration, purity of mind, and regularity.
A simple and respectful practice is:
- Bhaktāmara Stotra: recite 1 full time daily with ध्यान and devotion.
- Uvasaggaharam Stotra: recite 1 to 3 full times daily with faith.
If you have more time and can remain mentally steady, some people also recite them 7, 11, or 108 times, but more is not always better if the mind is restless. In Jain practice, one sincere recitation is better than many mechanical recitations.
For maximum spiritual benefit:
- recite with clean body and mind
- keep ahimsa, satya, and samyama
- maintain fixed daily time
- understand the meaning while reciting
- avoid haste and distraction
So the best answer is: daily 1 full Bhaktāmara and 1 to 3 Uvasaggaharam with devotion, and increase the count only if you can preserve true concentration and reverence.
