Who is not fit or cant take jain shwetambar diksha
In Jain Shwetambar diksha, the final decision is always taken by the Guru Bhagwant / Acharya after observing the person’s vairagya, discipline, fitness, and ability to follow the vows.
Generally, a person is not considered fit for diksha if they have:
- No true vairagya or only temporary emotional attraction
- No capacity to follow strict Jain vows of ahimsa, aparigraha, brahmacharya, and discipline
- Serious mental instability or inability to understand and observe the life properly
- Very young age / lack of maturity
- Severe physical incapacity that makes observance of the daily ascetic conduct impossible
- Strong attachment to family, wealth, status, or comforts
- An unwillingness to give up worldly life completely
- A tendency to break vows or live carelessly
In simple words, diksha is not for anyone who is still deeply attached to worldly life or cannot strictly live the Jain monk/monkess discipline.
Also, in Shwetambar tradition, the exact eligibility can differ slightly by Gachchha, Guru tradition, and current circumstances, but the core principle remains the same: only one with genuine renunciation and the ability to follow the vows is fit for diksha.
