In Jainism, the soul (jīva) is considered eternal and uncreated. It does not come into existence at any point in time; rather, it has always existed and will always exist. According to Jain philosophy, souls are infinite in number and are beginningless (anādi) and endless (ananta).

Every soul is by its nature pure, possessing infinite knowledge, perception, bliss, and energy. However, due to the influence of karmic matter, the pure qualities of the soul are obscured, and the soul experiences the cycle of birth and death (saṃsāra).

Thus, in Jainism, the soul does not come into existence; it is eternal and undergoes transmigration through various forms of life due to its karmas until it attains liberation (moksha) and is freed from the cycle of birth and death.
