So basically attachment is just a egoistic clinging and affection is a true deep love to some one no or yes when that love is free from ego to wards ur mother no or yes strictest answer possible

In Jainism, even affection toward mother can become attachment if it contains clinging, possessiveness, craving, or ego. Only when there is pure, selfless compassion and respect without attachment can it be aligned with right भावना.
So the strict Jain answer is:
- Attachment = bondage
- Selfless affection without ego = spiritually acceptable
- But even toward mother, if there is clinging, it is still attachment.
