How do get our sins cleared day to day life
In Jain Dharma, sins are cleared day by day through repentance, restraint, and purification of conduct.
Main practices:
- Pratikraman
- Reflect on mistakes done during the day. - Ask forgiveness for man, vachan, and kaaya sins. - Resolve not to repeat them.
- Alochana
- Honestly admit your faults before yourself and, if needed, before a guru.
- Prayashchitta
- Do appropriate repentance and spiritual correction for wrongdoing.
- Samayik
- Practice stillness, self-control, and equanimity. - This helps reduce karmic bondage.
- Pachhkhan / vows
- Take small daily vows to avoid harm, lying, anger, greed, and attachment.
- Ahimsa in daily life
- Reduce violence in thought, speech, and action. - Be careful in eating, speaking, and behavior.
- Forgiveness
- Say and feel: “Micchami Dukkadam” - This means: “If I have hurt you in any way, may my faults be forgiven.”
Simple daily method:
- In the morning: take a vow to stay pure in conduct.
- During the day: stay alert and avoid anger, ego, deceit, and greed.
- In the evening: do pratikraman, reflect on faults, and ask forgiveness.
Jain principle:
Sins are not cleared by only saying words. They are cleared by:- true repentance
- non-repetition
- self-restraint
- inner purity
