If a person doesn't feel that we are not possessive over them then only its not an attachment no or yes strictest answer possible possive and clinging both
Strict answer: No.
In Jain Dharma, attachment (rāga) is broader than just possessiveness or clinging.
- Possessiveness (mamatva) is a form of attachment.
- Clinging is also a form of attachment.
- But even if possessiveness is not felt, attachment can still exist in subtle form.
So:
- No possessiveness ≠ no attachment
- No clinging ≠ complete detachment
Only when there is no rāga, no mamatva, and no inner dependence, then it is true detachment.
In short: possessive and clinging both are attachment, but attachment can exist even without obvious possessiveness.
