What is bij tithi
Bij tithi in Jain calendar means the second lunar day (dvitīyā) of either the bright fortnight (shukla paksha) or the dark fortnight (krishna paksha).
In simple words:
- 1st tithi = Ekam
- 2nd tithi = Bij
- 3rd tithi = Trij
- and so on.
So, Bij tithi refers to the second day of the lunar month according to the Jain tradition of counting tithis.
