According to Jain tradition, Sheshvati is the mother of Lord Rama, who is regarded as one of the 63 illustrious beings (Salakapurushas) and specifically as a Vasudeva. In Jain texts, Lord Rama is the eighth Vasudeva, and his mother’s name is given as Sheshvati (or Shravati in some texts).
