Prayer for depression
Here is a simple Jain prayer for peace of mind and inner strength:
ॐ नमो अरिहंताणं ॐ नमो सिद्धाणं ॐ नमो आयरियाणं ॐ नमो उवज्झायाणं ॐ नमो लोए सव्वसाहूणं
Meaning: I bow to the Arihants, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyayas, and all Sadhus. May their blessings help calm the mind, reduce sorrow, and awaken right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
You may also pray like this:
“हे तीर्थंकर भगवंतों, मुझे समता, धैर्य, और शांति प्रदान कीजिए। मेरे मन के अशांत भाव शांत हों। मैं राग, द्वेष, चिंता, और निराशा से मुक्त होऊँ। मुझे आत्मबल, विवेक, और निर्मलता दीजिए। ॐ शांति, शांति, शांति।”
A short Jain meditation reminder:
- Take slow breaths.
- Recite Navkar Mantra with devotion.
- Reflect: “I am a soul; peace is my true nature.”
- Practice samata and ahimsa toward yourself.
