In Jain darshan, the rule still applies to every jiva, including nigod jiva.

    1) How the rule applies to nigod jiva

The statement that the leshya of the next birth is already present during the antarmuhurta before death means:
    • in the last phase of that life, the jiva’s karmic-bhava becomes the cause of the next birth,
    • and the next gati / next birth is connected with that final state.

For a nigod jiva, life and death happen with extremely short duration. So the “antarmuhurta before death” is not to be taken as a fixed human-time period, but as the final portion of that very short life.

So the rule applies like this:

    • each nigod life has its own last moment / last phase,
    • that final bhava determines the next birth,
    • and then the same process repeats again and again.

    2) About “18 births in one inhalation-exhalation”

This is meant to show the extreme speed of birth and death in nigod life.

It does not mean that the rule of leshya is broken.

    Rather:

    • one birth ends,
    • at the end of that birth the jiva has its final bhava,
    • that bhava becomes the cause of the next birth,
    • then the next life again ends very quickly,
    • and the cycle continues.

So the principle remains the same, only the time span is unimaginably tiny.

    3) Important subtle point

For nigod jivas, the expression antarmuhurta should be understood relatively, according to their own lifespan and condition, not according to human duration.

    In short:

    • yes, the rule applies to nigod jiva too,
    • but their whole existence is so short that the “last antarmuhurta” is also extremely brief,
    • and each successive birth carries forward the causal leshya from the immediately previous life.

The second point in your message appears incomplete, so I have answered the first point only.
