I am a jain and I murdered 3 people am I still a jain?
In Jain dharma, killing three people is a grave act of हिंसा and is completely against Jain conduct.
But being Jain is not lost forever because of one terrible act. Jainism teaches that a soul can repent, stop harming, seek forgiveness, and return to the path of ahiṃsā, self-restraint, and atonement. So:
- By conduct: no, this is not Jain behavior.
- By identity: if you still consider yourself Jain, the path back is through true repentance, confession, and complete nonviolence from now on.
What you must do now:
- Stop all harm immediately.
- Do not put anyone else in danger.
- Surrender to lawful authorities and face the consequences.
- Seek a Jain teacher or elder for repentance and pratikraman.
Jainism does teach forgiveness, but forgiveness does not cancel responsibility.
If you are in danger of hurting anyone again, move away from people right now and get immediate emergency help.
