Denied diksha due to kundli. What to do
In Jain Dharma, dīkṣā is guided by vairāgya, self-discipline, and the decision of the Ācārya/Guru, not by a kundli.
What you can do:
- Remain calm and respectful
Do not feel hurt or angry. In Jain practice, acceptance and equanimity are important.
- Strengthen your inner readiness
Continue practicing: - ahimsā - satya - aparigraha - brahmacarya - daily pratikraman - sāmāyik - svādhyāya
- Understand the reason clearly
Sometimes a teacher may say no because of: - lack of mental maturity - family responsibilities - health concerns - insufficient preparation - tradition followed by that particular lineage Not every refusal is about kundli alone.
- Do not depend on astrology as the final authority
In Jain view, karma and one’s own purushārtha are most important. Progress comes through right conduct and inner purification.
- Serve and practice as a lay follower sincerely
Even if dīkṣā is not granted now, you can still live a highly spiritual Jain life as a shrāvaka/shrāvikā.
- Be patient
If the desire for dīkṣā is genuine and स्थिर, continue your preparation and wait with humility.
In short: do not get discouraged by a kundli-based refusal. Keep your focus on bhāv, vairāgya, and Jain sādhana. If dīkṣā is truly suitable, the right path will open at the right time.
