Do ladies attain salvation?
Yes — according to Jainism, the answer depends on the tradition:
- Shwetambar Jain tradition: women can attain moksha (salvation) in the present body through right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
- Digambar Jain tradition: women do not attain moksha in the female body; they are believed to be reborn as a man in a future birth before final liberation.
So, in Jain Dharma, salvation is ultimately possible for a lady, but the path and timing are understood differently in the two main traditions. In both traditions, the soul is the same and liberation is based on purity of soul, not on worldly status.
If you want, I can also explain this in very simple Gujarati or Hindi.
