If I wear a neclesss of my mother and keep a photo of her because o love her deeply is it a sin no or yes strictest answer possible as a female layperson Out of love and respect no attachment nothing like that
Strictly in Jainism: yes, it is a form of attachment, so from the highest spiritual standard it is not free from karmic bondage.
But it is not the same as a grave sin like हिंसा (violence). If your feeling is only respectful remembrance and love, and there is no possessiveness, obsession, or emotional dependence, then for a female layperson it is still a minor worldly attachment, not a severe wrongdoing.
Most strict answer:
- Photo/necklace of mother = attachment (rāga)
- Attachment causes karma
- So spiritually, yes, it is not completely pure from Jain viewpoint
If you want the strictest Jain conduct, the ideal is to keep respect in the heart without clinging to objects.
