Can I meet mother in heaven even if my mother dies before me Digambar Jainism as s female layperson
In Digambar Jainism, it is not guaranteed that you will meet your mother in heaven after death.
- In Jain dharma, the soul takes birth according to its own karma.
- If both souls, because of their pुण्य karma, are born in the same devaloka or the same heavenly realm, then a reunion may be possible.
- But family relations are temporary in samsar. After death, the same mother-daughter bond does not automatically continue.
- If your mother attains moksha, then there is no rebirth, so there will be no meeting in heaven.
As a female layperson, your path is the same as any lay follower: live with ahimsa, truth, non-possessiveness, restraint, charity, and devotion so that you create good karma. That can support a favorable rebirth, but meeting a specific person is not certain.
So the simple answer is:
Yes, it may be possible, but only if karma leads both souls to the same heavenly birth. It is not assured.
