Tattvārtha Sūtra according can I encounter my mother in heaven
According to Tattvārtha Sūtra, the soul goes to a new birth according to its karma. In heaven, beings are devas, so ordinary human family relations like mother and child do not continue in the same way.
So:
- Yes, it is possible to meet a soul in heaven if both souls are born there by their karmas.
- But not as your human mother in the same family relationship.
- In Jainism, relationships in one birth are temporary; the soul keeps changing bodies according to karma.
So the simple answer is: you may encounter her as a heavenly being if karmic conditions match, but not as your mother in the human sense.
This is why Jain Dharma teaches detachment, because the soul’s true journey is toward moksha, beyond all worldly relationships.
