Scared of 6th ara thoughts , get bad dreams sometimes wha to do
In Jain Dharma, fear of the 6th ara and disturbing dreams should be met with dharma, not panic.
What to do
- Remember: the 6th ara is a time-period, not a reason to lose courage. In Jain teaching, one should stay focused on samyak darshan, samyak jnana, and samyak charitra.
- Before sleeping, do a short prayer or meditation:
- Keep the mind pure at night:
- Do pratikraman or simple introspection:
- Practice non-attachment to dreams:
- Strengthen inner shelter in the Tirthankars:
Simple bedtime practice
- Sit quietly for 2–5 minutes
- Recite Navakar Mantra
- Say: “I take refuge in pure Dharma. May my mind remain शांत and निर्मल.”
- Sleep with a calm, clean, and light mind
Important Jain attitude
Jain Dharma teaches vigilance, purity, and fearlessness through right faith. Do not feed the fear of the 6th ara. Instead, build punya through right conduct and inner peace. If you want, I can also give you a short Jain bedtime prayer for peaceful sleep.
