In Jain tradition, Lord Rishabhdev (Ādinath) is especially remembered as generous and as the one who taught people the importance of dāna and righteous living.

At the same time, all 24 Tirthankaras are beyond attachment, so their greatness is not only in generosity, but in complete non-attachment, compassion, and spiritual guidance.
