How this world started?
In Jain Dharma, this world did not begin at a single starting moment and it will not end permanently. The universe is anadi and ananta — meaning without beginning and without end.
According to Jain philosophy:
- The loka has always existed.
- It is self-existing, not created by any god.
- The universe functions through the natural laws of jiva, ajiva, karma, time, and motion.
- The world goes through endless cycles of utsarpini and avasarpini:
So, in Jainism, the question is not “Who created the world?” but rather “How does the universe function?”
If you want, I can also explain:
- the Jain view of creation
- the shape of the universe
- or how life first appeared in this cycle
