Will eating non veg send me to hell
In Jain dharma, eating non-veg is considered himsa because it involves violence to living beings. This creates pāpa karma and increases the chances of downward rebirth, including narak gati (hellish state), depending on the intensity of violence, intention, attachment, and overall karma.
So, it is not correct to say that one act automatically and immediately sends a person to hell. In Jain philosophy, the result depends on the total karmic bondage, not only on one action. But non-veg eating is definitely discouraged because it supports violence and karmic bondage.
The Jain path encourages:
- Ahimsa: non-violence
- Satya: truth
- Aparigraha: non-attachment
- Pure vegetarian food, ideally with care to avoid harm
So the simple answer is: it can contribute to karmic bondage leading to hellish birth, but it is not a single automatic punishment.
