Understood. I will not describe Lord Rishabh as the “origin” of Jainism.
In Jain tradition, Lord Rishabhdev is the first Tirthankar of the current time cycle, not the creator or originator of Jain Dharma. Jain Dharma is understood as eternal and beginningless, with Tirthankars rediscovering and reviving the path.
Also, yes — the idea of time cycles exists in other traditions too. So I will be careful not to present it as something unique to Jainism.
I will avoid that “origin” remark going forward.
