can JAINAS explain the solution of the schrodinger equation? how des it relate to anekantavada?
From Jain perspective, Anekantavada means reality is complex and can be understood from multiple valid viewpoints (naya). So, if someone speaks about the Schrödinger equation, Jain thought would say:
- one viewpoint may be mathematical,
- another may be physical,
- another may be philosophical,
- and another may be observational or experiential.
So Anekantavada does not solve the Schrödinger equation, but it can help explain why different descriptions of the same reality may all be partially true from their own standpoint.
In simple words:
- Physics gives the equation and its solution.
- Anekantavada reminds us that no single description captures the whole truth absolutely.
This is very close to the Jain idea of syādvāda: “in some respect, from a certain standpoint, this is true.”
So the relation is philosophical, not mathematical. Jainism would support humility in understanding reality, while science provides the specific solution.
