which has more chance for moksh, a vegetarian dog or a wantedly non-veg human?
In Jainism, a human being has far more chance for moksh than a vegetarian dog.
Why:
- Moksh is attained through right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
- A human birth is considered the highest and most suitable birth for spiritual progress.
- An animal, even if vegetarian, does not have the same ability to understand, take vows, and practice the Jain path fully.
So, between the two:
- Vegetarian dog: very limited chance for moksh in that life
- Willfully non-veg human: still has the greater opportunity for moksh, because human birth is precious
However, a human who knowingly eats non-vegetarian food earns heavy bad karma, so that person is far from moksh unless they change their conduct and follow the path of ahimsa, self-control, and purification.
In short: the human has more chance, but only if he turns toward dharma.
