Under the same roof and doing activities together is acceptable when the activity is common to both traditions and there is mutual respect, harmony, and no violation of tradition. For example:

However, certain rituals, worship methods, and scriptural practices differ between Digambar and Śwetāmbār traditions. In such cases, each tradition should follow its own maryada and parampara respectfully.

• Yes, for common Jain service and harmony
• No forcing of one tradition’s ritual on the other
• Always maintain respect for both paths

So, coexistence and cooperation are good in Jain spirit, but ritual uniformity is not required. The ideal is unity in values, respect in practice.
