Navangi Pooja is performed in 9 parts. The usual sequence is:

1. Aasan Pooja – worship of the seat
2. Shir Pooja – worship of the head
3. Padaan Pooja – worship of the feet
4. Dwar Pooja – worship at the entrance
5. Pushpa Pooja – offering flowers
6. Vastra Pooja – offering clothes
7. Deep Pooja – offering lamps
8. Dhup Pooja – offering incense
9. Phal Pooja – offering fruits
