Which is the sutra we recite to ask for forgiveness for the minor violations we might have done of the 12minor vows
For the minor violations (atichar) of the 12 vows, the forgiveness is generally sought during Pratikraman.
The most commonly recited phrases are:
- “Khamemi Savve Jiva” — a prayer for forgiveness from all जीवों
- “Micchami Dukkadam” — asking forgiveness for any mistake, hurt, or transgression
For the specific confession of vow-related faults, Jain tradition also uses Alochana / Atichar Alochana during Pratikraman, where one reviews and repents for the transgressions of the vows.
In short: There is not just one single sutra for all 12 vow violations; the common forgiveness prayer is “Micchami Dukkadam,” and the formal confession is done through “Alochana” in Pratikraman.”
