How to atain keval gnyaan
In Jain Dharma, Keval Gnyan is attained when the soul becomes fully free from karmic bondage and all ghati karmas are destroyed.
How it is attained:
- Follow the Ratnatraya
- Samyak Darshan — right faith - Samyak Gnyan — right knowledge - Samyak Charitra — right conduct
- Practice strict Ahimsa
- Avoid violence in thought, speech, and action.
- Control the mind and senses
- Reduce anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachment, and aversion.
- Observe austerity and penance
- Tapasya helps burn karmas.
- Meditation and self-realization
- Deep internal awareness and equanimity are essential.
- Follow vows sincerely
- For householders: the 5 aṇuvratas. - For monks/nuns: the 5 mahāvratas.
- Destroy all karmas
- When the soul becomes completely purified, Keval Gnyan naturally manifests.
Important point:
Keval Gnyan is not achieved by outer rituals alone. It comes through complete purification of the soul by right faith, right knowledge, right conduct, and total karmic destruction. If you want, I can also explain this in simple Gujarati/Hindi or give the Jain path step by step.
