i don't feel connected to dravya puja so can I shift to bhav puja only?
In Jain Dharma, bhav puja is more important than dravya puja, because the real worship is the purity of the inner state: devotion, reverence, humility, and detachment.
At the same time, dravya puja is also a recognized practice in many Jain traditions, especially for householders, because it helps support and express bhav with discipline and श्रद्धा. So, if you do not feel connected to dravya puja, you may increase bhav puja sincerely, but it is best to do so with respect for the tradition you follow.
A balanced Jain understanding is:
- Bhav puja = essential and highest
- Dravya puja = helpful external practice
- Inner purity matters more than external form
So yes, you can focus more on bhav puja, especially if your devotion is deepening that way. But if you belong to a tradition where dravya puja is prescribed, it is better not to reject it mentally; instead, treat it as an aid to bhav, even if your feeling is currently stronger toward inner worship.
In short: shift your emphasis to bhav puja, but keep humility toward dravya puja as a valid Jain practice.
