need printable images layout of each astamangal symbols

    3 months ago 49

Here is a printable layout idea for Ashtamangala symbols in Jain tradition.

Important: Ashtamangala symbols can differ slightly between Shwetambar and Digambar traditions. So I’m giving both common layouts.

    ---

    1) Printable 8-box layout

    Use a 2 × 4 grid on one A4 page:

    | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | |---|---|---|---| | Symbol 1 | Symbol 2 | Symbol 3 | Symbol 4 | | Symbol 5 | Symbol 6 | Symbol 7 | Symbol 8 |

You can place one symbol image in each box with the name below it.

    ---

    2) Common Shwetambar Ashtamangala

    Use these 8 symbols:

    1. Swastika
    2. Srivatsa
    3. Nandavarta
    4. Vardhamanaka
    5. Bhadrasana
    6. Kalasha
    7. Darpana
    8. Matsyayugma

    Suggested print order

    • Row 1: Swastika, Srivatsa, Nandavarta, Vardhamanaka
    • Row 2: Bhadrasana, Kalasha, Darpana, Matsyayugma

    ---

    3) Common Digambar Ashtamangala

A commonly used Digambar set includes:

    1. Chatra
    2. Dhvaja
    3. Kalasha
    4. Darpana
    5. Bhadrasana
    6. Swastika
    7. Srivatsa
    8. Nandavarta

    Suggested print order

    • Row 1: Chatra, Dhvaja, Kalasha, Darpana
    • Row 2: Bhadrasana, Swastika, Srivatsa, Nandavarta

    ---

    4) Simple printable page title

You can put this at the top:

Ashtamangala – Jain Sacred Symbols Printable Reference Sheet

    ---

    5) Easy label format below each image

Use this format under each symbol:

    Symbol Name Small 1-line meaning

Example: Swastika Symbol of auspiciousness and spiritual well-being.

    ---

    6) Best page arrangement

    For a clean printable page:

    • A4 size
    • Landscape
    • 2 columns × 4 rows
    • Keep each box equal size
    • Leave space for the symbol name below each image

    ---

If you want, I can also create a ready-to-print text layout for A4 with all 8 names placed in exact boxes.
