Who is rishabhdev
In Jainism, Rishabhdev (also known as Adinath) is recognized as the first Tirthankara of the present age (Avasarpini). A Tirthankara is a spiritual teacher who has conquered the cycle of birth and death (samsara) and helps others achieve liberation (moksha). Rishabhdev is revered as the founder of Jainism in this time cycle.
According to Jain texts, Rishabhdev taught people various arts, crafts, and ways of living, including agriculture, pottery, and social organization. His symbol is the bull, and he is often depicted in meditation. Rishabhdev's teachings emphasize non-violence (ahimsa), truth (satya), and detachment (aparigraha), foundational principles in Jain philosophy.
